Tim’s intuitive nature, vast business experience and personal engagement with others have helped him become a well-known and distinguished manager. What has excited him for years is the knowledge that he is helping others achieve their business goals, goals which he takes an active interest in setting with his agents. Having accepted the advice of Theodore Roosevelt and Daniel Burnham, to make big plans and live a victorious life by daring greatly and getting up once trodden upon, Tim’s keen focus on sales skill and process orientation have aided agents in attaining and reaching sales goals with regularity. The individual efforts of the agent and the support of the brokerage team are instrumental in achieving success in the entrepreneurial world of real estate sales. Leadership requires one to have strategic vision. Tim has found Vanguard Properties to have that vision and a keen focus on sales which provides agents the opportunities to succeed and succeed often. Within the context of success, Tim uses the opportunities at sales meetings, one on one sessions and daily interactions with his agents to foster continuous process improvement which is the vanguard of professional and personal development.
While a California native – born in San Francisco and raised on the peninsula – Tim began his real estate career in Chicago, Illinois where he built a strong business in a city where he had few initial relationships. Having learned the ‘craft’ of Real Estate sales for 5 years from a mentor and broker who managed the largest Coldwell Banker office in the nation, Tim transitioned to the role of Assistant Managing Broker responsible for technology in the same office of 250 agents with $1.8B in sales volume. Shortly thereafter he took over the management of CB’s Boutique Luxury office in the landmark John Hancock Building on Michigan Avenue. It was here that Tim managed two of the top producing teams in Chicago real estate with sales throughout the city’s core downtown neighborhoods.
Returning home to California, Tim once again settled back into California’s wine country in the role of office manager for the largest real estate office in wine country. He aided approximately 100 agents in building their business to support clients with Luxury Estates, wine and vineyard properties, as well as residential homes.
Honing his craft as a business coach, Tim took 3 years off from office management and coached real estate agents in the San Mateo, San Francisco, Marin and Sonoma County markets. With a focus on process and accountability, Tim was instrumental in assisting some of his clients double their business from prior year efforts.
Tim is excited to once again step into a leadership role with a Company who possesses a Real Estate Sales culture. His energy, enthusiasm and creativity are available to all agents who make the choice to excel in their business. He brings his past career successes as a CPA, financial manager and Investment Banker to his daily activities in management along with his roles on several local charity boards and service as a commissioner on the Sonoma Valley Citizens Advisory Commission related to planning issues in the Sonoma Valley.
